Enough already. We are no longer sailors. We like calm flat seas.

We maxed out our 4 nights on a mooring at Naples and braved the cold (52º) to travel the 13 miles down the coast to Marco Island before the overnight light NE winds backed to the heavier, gusty NW again. We made it to Smokehouse Bay with a couple hours to spare.

Really would love some light wind days after this past week of gusty winds, but the weather gods aren’t promising any soon. We have friends arriving early next week who will be staying at a condo here. We look forward to visiting with them before beginning our trek back north.
