September was an event-filled month for us… lots going on with doctors’ appointments, birthdays, family stuff, as well as a couple of life events! And so we hauled Thyme Hyssop & Wry for the season 2-3 weeks earlier than what is normal for us. We lucked out with a beautiful day for getting the boat to Mackinaw City and a beautiful morning to haul out.
Three highlights from September 2018:
1. Team Stargazer Warrior, remembering my sister Amy, was awarded the top fundraising team award in Gilda’s Club West Side Walk! Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is a wonderful (and free!) resource that supports those touched by cancer or grief, funded 100% by charitable donations. It is an organization with whom I am honored to volunteer when I am not traveling. The team honoring Amy Schneider was made up of family, friends, and those she worked with at Dematic.
2. Our son, Chase Dwelle, successfully defended his dissertation and has officially finished his Ph.D. (Environmental Engineering). We are so very proud of him!

3. And finally, our September culminated with formally welcoming Erica Sivertson in to our Schneider Dwelle family. It was a wonderful wedding weekend, filled with family, friends, and love.
Now that we are into October, Ron has finished putting Thyme Hyssop & Wry away for the winter and is heavy into preparations for heading south to get Prairie Dog ready for our cruising season in SW Florida. In the meantime, I am enjoying the autumn colors that are finally popping. –jes
And I thought our summer was busy with moving and getting a new 8 week old Maltese puppy weighing 3-1/2 pounds! Enjoy Florida!
