This is more like the North Channel forecasts we remember:

Today we motored from Usual Reason Cove (in McGregor Bay) to Manitowaning–25 miles. We never had enough wind to sail. We had west winds as we motored out of McGregor Bay and east winds once we entered Frasier Bay. We are at anchor this evening just off the Bay Street Marina docks and there is no wind at all. The skies have looked threatening and we’ve had blue skies and hot sun overhead. This is the North Channel weather we remember from years ago. We can only hope that winds remain light next week, once we’re hightailing it “home” so that I can go back to work!
