It was 3 weeks ago that we spent a couple of hours exploring the Gulf beach at Don Pedro State Park on a particularly beautiful, breezy Sunday afternoon. It’s taken me this long to wifi, to upload photos I took with my little Canon, up to Dropbox from my laptop and back into my iPad where I have easy access to add them to blog posts.
Our understanding is that they wish you to leave the park as you find it, and the piles of shells on the beach would indicate most visitors are doing just that!
This park is famous for its protected sea turtle nests. I looked, but couldn’t identify a turtle’s nest under all the chicken wire.
And yes, we actually saw a turtle (who seemed pretty unconcerned about us taking its photo)!
