Myakka State Park

One of the benefits of having friends join you on the boat for a few days, is that you have access to a vehicle, and are able to see areas that you can’t see from the water and visit areas too far to travel by foot.

Here are just some of the sights Amy, Missy, and I experienced yesterday afternoon during our visit to Myakka State Park. It was a wonderful day!

    • Thanks Venetia, and yes, it is cold here! How about there in the Panhandle for you? Late this afternoon, the sun has warmed the air up quite nicely–high 60’s right now. But overnights have been so cold and we’re experiencing condensation each morning with the boat closed up tight for sleeping. And still we wake to a cabin in the upper 40’s! We’ll be heading south in the next few days and although the daytime highs are about the same as here, the overnight lows better are generally in the low 50’s: more tolerable for this boat with no heat!
