In the blink of an eye, it seemed that summer ended and it was time to put Annwfn away for the winter.
Were we really home this fall? We hauled the boat, and then Ron promptly had hernia surgery (so that he would be healed in time for winter sailing in Florida). I went back to work for the remainder of the semester for the McNair Scholars TRiO Program at GVSU, collecting data for their annual report to the federal government. We celebrated Thanksgiving with family…
…and then Ron traveled south to prepare Thyme Hyssop & Wry as I finished working and got ready for the December holidays with our kids. How did my fall go by so darn quick? There are so many friends I failed to connect with while I was at home. Next spring, I promise!
And now we are back in the warm Florida air, getting ready to launch Thyme Hyssop & Wry and begin our winter sailing season. Ron’s ready to get outta here; I’m still trying to catch my breath. I haven’t knit a stitch since Christmas Day (when I finished Chase’s handknit tie!). I am looking forward to some serious knitting time once we are floating again.–jes
