Yesterday we woke in Boat Harbour to a very dark and gloomy day. It was cold. We could hear the waves breaking on the shore outside the harbor. It began to rain, hard. There was thunder and lightning off to our west. We decided to stay put for the day. We were dry inside our boat, and with oil lamps and candles lit (and soup on the stove for lunch), our cabin began to slowly warm to the upper 50’s. And then when the rain subsided and the storms moved out of our area in the early afternoon, the fog settled in.
It wasn’t a bad day. Ron read a lot. I knit a lot. And last evening, as the sun was going down, the fog began to lift and we were treated to more beauty along the Lake Superior shoreline:
