I love rocks. I love pretty rocks. I especially love Lake Superior rocks. I don’t believe there are rocks and stones more beautiful than you can find along the shores of Lake Superior. Because the Lake is so large, so deep and can be so violent, one can find stones and rocks as smooth as those you might put through a polisher. The Lake does a pretty darn good job on its own. I especially love finding agates. The one above is very special as I found it on one of my favorite beaches. And this is just how I found it, as if it were shouting at me to “pick me, pick me!”

I call this the “wave rock.” I find the rock beaches and rock formations along the northeast shore of Lake Superior amazing and awe-inspiring. The water may be too cold for swimming, but this makes up for it. I’ll do the solar shower instead.
